BIBLE READING: Psalm 5:3

3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

MESSAGE:

l believe that the morning is the best part of the day because it sets the tone for your day. I love to go on my prayer walks at night because I usually settle the following day with God during that period. This way, when I sleep and wake up the next morning, I’m sure that the day would bring me opportunities to actualize some of the things God had told me the night before.

When the day breaks, new things happen because a morning comes with joy and new hope. Therefore, it is important to speak into the morning, and the best time to do this is in the midnight or at dawn. Proverbs 8:17 says that those who seek God early will find Him.

It is also important to command the day to your advantage because the Bible says in Matthew 13:25 that while men slept, the enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat. So, when you wake up every morning, rather than browse through the internet or social media, first go to the Lord on your knees. Make it a habit to speak with your Heavenly Father first every day.

KEY POINT:

Start every day by talking to God.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:

Deuteronomy 7:1-8:20, Luke 7:3

HYMN 16 – Praise Him, Praise Him Jesus Our Blessed Redeemer

1 Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!

Sing, O earth, His wonderful love proclaim!

Hail Him, hail Him! Highest angels in glory!

Strength and honor give to His holy name!

Like a shepherd, Jesus will guard his children.

In His arms He carries them all day long.

O ye saints that dwell on the mountain of zion

Praise Him! praise Him!

Ever in joyful song!

2 Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer,

For our sins He suffered and bled and died;

He, our Rock, our Hope of eternal salvation,

Hail Him! hail Him! Jesus, the Crucified;

Loving Savior, meekly enduring sorrow,

Crowned with thorns that cruelly pierced His brow;

Once for us rejected, despised, and forsaken,

Prince of Glory, ever triumphant now.

3 Praise Him! praise Him!

Jesus, our blessed Redeemer,

Heav’nly portals, loud with hosannas ring!

Jesus, Savior, reigneth for ever and ever;

Crown Him! crown Him! Prophet and Priest and King!

Death is vanquished! Tell it with joy, ye faithful,

Where is now thy victory, boasting grave?

Jesus lives! No longer thy portals are cheerless;

Jesus lives, the mighty and strong to save.
