TOPIC: THE GOD-HEAD: TEAM PLAYERS [Open Heaven for Teens 19 November 2023]
MEMORISE: That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. John 17:21
BIBLE TEXT: John 17:20-23
[20]Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
[21]That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
[22]And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
[23]I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
MESSAGE:
In John 10:30, Jesus says, I and my Father are one". The concept of Trinity can be analysed using an egg. An egg has three parts: The shell, egg white and yolk. These three parts make a whole even though they are different parts. They can also function differently, even though they come together to make a whole
Similarly, the Trinity is one, even though they can function independently. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit work together as team players. They were there at the creation when God said, "Let us make man in our own image". God the Son also took the form of man and waited on God the Father's instruction before doing anything on earth. He also did nothing without the backing of the Holy Spirit. The Godhead is so united!
My child, unity and teamwork are hallmarks of humility. If you find it difficult to work or live with others, it is because you are proud. God is interested in team-play: this is why no one is self-sufficient. Also, note that you were born into a family so that you can play your role as a team member.
ACTION POINT
A tree cannot make a forest. You need good people as much as they also need you.

HYMN 12 - HOLY, HOLY, HOLY! LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!
1. Holy, Holy, Holy!
Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning
Our song shall rise to thee:
Holy, holy, holy,
Merciful and Mighty!
God in Three Persons,
Blessed, Trinity!
2. Holy, Holy, Holy!
All the saints adore Thee,
Casting down their golden crowns
Around the glassy sea:
Cherubim and seraphim
Falling down before Thee,
Which wert and art,
And evermore shalt be.
3. Holy, Holy, Holy!
Though the darkness hide Thee,
Though the eyes of sinful man
Thy glory may not see
Only thou art holy:
There is none beside Thee,
Perfect in power, in love, and purity.
4. Holy, Holy, Holy!
Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise
Thy name, in earth and sky, and sea;
Holy, Holy, Holy,
Merciful and Mighty!
God in Three Persons,
Blessed, Trinity!
