TOPIC: Symbols Of God’s Faithful Care (I) (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Devotional 1 August 2023)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Psalms 146, Psalms 147, Hebrews 11, Hebrews 12

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Psalm 103:1-13 (KJV)

1 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

6 The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

7 He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

8 The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

9 He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.

MEMORY VERSE: “But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children:” – 1 Thessalonians 2:7

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTES:

You can trust God with tomorrow because He was faithful yesterday.

PRAISE AND WORSHIP:

Take praise and worship songs as led by the Holy Spirit

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:

I DECREE THAT THE ALL-SUFFICIENT GOD WILL APPEAR IN YOUR SITUATION AND MEET YOU AT THE POINT OF YOUR NEED, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

MFM Devotional For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

Our God is exceptionally loving and caring. The Bible highlights His faithful care for us in several ways. We need to understand this and thank Him for it daily. Let us identify some of the symbols of His faithful care in the Bible.

The first symbol of God’s faithful care for us is that He comforts us like a mother. In Isaiah 66:13, the Bible says, “As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.” Similarly, in the New Testament, Paul wrote to the church at Thessalonica that “just as a nursing mother cares for her children, so we cared for you. Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well” (1 Thessalonians 2:7-8).

The second symbol of God’s faithful care to us is that He has compassion on us like a father. Here, the idea is that if a father’s child is ill, he will feel sympathy for the child, but compassion is reflected in nursing the child back to health. If one of his children is in trouble, the father hurts for him, and compassion inspires him to extricate the child from danger. Like a good father, our heavenly Father demonstrates strong compassion for us. He understands what we face, and He cares for us. 1 Peter 5:7 encourages us to cast all our anxiety on our Father in heaven for that reason. Lamentations 3:22-23 reminds us, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceaseth; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is His faithfulness.” In the time of the Judges, the Lord rescued His people from their enemies. He saw that their enemies were afflicting and oppressing them to the point that they were groaning. Therefore, He was moved to their pity (Judges 2:16-18).

The third symbol of God’s faithful care is that He feeds His children like a nursing mother. God is our Shepherd, Provider and Sufficiency. The Bible says that He opens His hand and satisfies the desire of every living being. All eyes look unto Him and He gives them their meat in due season.

Beloved, give quality praise to God for His faithful care to you today!
