TOPIC: Total Surrender To God – A Component Of Praise (Seeds Of Destiny 29 June 2023)

SCRIPTURE: Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God (that is surrender yourself) — this is your spiritual act of worship. Romans 12:1. (NIV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: True worship is a product of being surrendered to God.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

It has been confirmed that praise has many components or parts. Praise is, therefore a combination of components or parts.

Now, one of the components of praise is total or absolute surrender to God.

It is clear from the Scripture that being totally surrendered to God is an act of worship. Your surrender to God is an act of worship to Him. The extent to which you surrender your life to God determines the quality of your worship to Him. Your spiritual act of worship is directly proportional to the degree of your surrender to God.

Now, let me give you one fact on total surrender to God:

It is not possible to truly worship God until you have totally surrendered to Him.

True worship is a product of being totally surrendered to God. There are many people who have refused to be totally surrendered to God. Half of their heart is with God while the other half is with something else. A hypocrite can never worship God genuinely because while one of his legs is in the church, the other leg is out of the church.

An unbeliever only stands to look at people who are deeply worshipping God during church services because he is not yet surrendered to God. While someone is weeping in deep worship of God, he is just watching, perhaps surprised or confused about what is going on.

There are some people who think that one is crazy when one dances and celebrates God during praise sessions. It takes being totally surrendered to God to worship Him. Until we are fully surrendered to God, worship is meaningless and useless.

Remember this: True worship is a product of being totally surrendered to God.

ASSIGNMENT:

Go through today’s message once again, prayerfully and thoughtfully.

Make up your mind to be totally surrendered to God as an act of worship.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. I ask for the grace to be totally yielded to You, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
