TOPIC: Fraud And Corruption – Evil Money (Seeds Of Destiny 11 June 2023)

SCRIPTURE: As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool. Jeremiah 17:11.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Proceeds of fraud and corruption are examples of evil money.

We live in a world where people are so desperate to get money that can do anything to get it. And because of this desperation to get money, people engage themselves in all forms of evil.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

But it is important to know that money gotten through evil and corrupt ways is called evil money.

Proceeds of fraud and corruption are examples of evil money. When a person is involved in fraudulent practices, the money he makes is evil money.

For instance, when a person agrees with a professional to do a particular job for his organization at an inflated amount out of which a portion or percentage of the money is to be returned to him, it is evil money.

When a person who is a purchasing or supply officer in his office agrees with contractors to cheat the organization through the issuance of fake receipts so that he and the contractors can share the extra money added to the original cost; that extra money is evil money.

Some lecturers force students to buy hand-outs or textbooks they (students) do not need; if they fail to buy the textbooks, he makes them fail his course even if the students write the examination with correct answers. The money such lecturers get from forcing students to buy their textbooks is evil money.

My counsel is, refuse to indulge in any evil practice for the sake of getting money.

Remember this: Proceeds of fraud and corruption are examples of evil money.

ASSIGNMENT:

Refuse to indulge in any evil practice for the sake of getting money.

Work with your hand diligently to earn money legitimately.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You deliver me from any temptation of indulging in corrupt practices to get money. I receive the grace to earn money through godly and legitimate means, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
