FIRE SCRIPTURE: Daniel 10:5-13 (KJV)
5 Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz:
6 His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.
7 And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.
8 Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.
9 Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.
10 And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.
11 And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.
12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

MFM Devotional For Today 2023 MESSAGE:
Another benefit of fasting is that God can use it to turn around stubborn situations. He will personally intervene as He did in today’s Fire Scripture. Daniel was fasting for twenty-one days to seek answer to why the captivity of the Israelites was prolonged. As he did not receive answer on time, he continued in the fasting until God sent intervention through another angel to bring him answers to his prayers.

Daniel was visited by a heavenly being, an angel, since the messenger talked about being opposed by the prince of the Persian kingdom (a demon) and of needing help from Michael one of God’s chief angels. The demon withstood Daniel for twenty-one days, but God intervened at last. Every stubborn situation can be dealt with by fasting. The benefit there is that you will become victorious like Daniel.
Dearly beloved, fasting without ceasing is victory and breakthrough unlimited. Thank God for Daniel’s resilience. He did not give up when answers were not forthcoming early in the programme, but he continued. A lot of stubborn problems could have been taken care of in the life of the children of God, but they give up easily. Stubborn problems require stubborn faith, prayer and fasting. I remember the story of that brother whose friend intentionally initiated into ROF (Reformed Ogboni Fraternity) but he was not conscious of it. The friend forced him to share a kolanut with him and they both ate it. Since then, they began to call him for meeting and other stuff. He said, “I am not a part of you.” They said, “You are,” and because he refused, they put him into serious trouble that would have ruined his life. That was how he ran to the mountain and did one hundred and twenty-days white fasting. When they discovered that he had become too hot for them to handle, they left him alone.
May God fight for you, in the name of Jesus.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
Every gang-up and evil connivance from occult powers against me, O death, scatter them, in the name of Jesus.
Power seeking for my head, O God, arise and waste them, in the name of Jesus.
Consuming fire of God, arise and waste my stubborn pursuers, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
O God, arise and make me a mysterious wonder, in the name of Jesus.
Spirit of impossibility following me around, get out of my life and die, in the name of Jesus.
Power of stubborn affliction, die, in the name of Jesus.
O God, arise and let it be known that You are my God, in the name of Jesus.
