TOPIC: Blessed Is She Who Believes

READ: Luke 1:39-49 (NKJV)

Now Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, to a city of Judah,

and entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth.

And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.

Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed [are] you among women, and blessed [is] the fruit of your womb!

“But why [is] this [granted] to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

“For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.

“Blessed [is] she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.”

And Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord,

And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.

For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed.

For He who is mighty has done great things for me, And holy [is] His name.

THE MESSAGE:

After the dialogue between Mary and Angel Gabriel, Mary visited her relative, Elizabeth, wife of Zacharias. Elizabeth was six months pregnant with her first son, John. When Mary greeted her, the baby in her womb leaped for Joy. Elizabeth became filled with the Holy Spirit and repeated what the angel said to Mary; “Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb.” There is always harmony in every issue the Holy Spirit is involved in, thus confirming the will of God. For an unborn baby to leap for joy when Elizabeth heard Mary’s voice was a mystery and only faith in God’s word can understand such an event.

Mary was declared blessed because she believed what God said. It takes a spiritual man to believe the word of God spoken to him when he has not experienced it. Such a man and his belief will cause the fulfilment to happen. Trust Gods word like Mary, in your challenges, whether it contradicts historical evidence, circumstantial, scientific or experiential realities or not, and the power above all will cause it to become a reality. Note also that the visit of Mary made Elizabeth to operate in higher spiritual dimensions. Learn from Mary and askGod to help you uplift people you come in contact with, unto higher spiritual levels.

PRAYER: Lord, I believe, help my unbelief.
