OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 3 JULY 2022 BIBLE READING EPHESIANS 2:1-6

1. And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

2. Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

3. Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulflling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

4. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

5. Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

6. And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 3 JULY 2022 MESSAGE

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)”

Every child of God who is constantly waiting on Him is classified as an eagle. An eagle lives on the highest mountain available and usually chooses the highest rock to build its nest upon. If it finds a nest higher than its own, it will build another one on a higher branch that very day because it doesn’t want lesser creatures having a nest above its own.

As a spiritual eagle, you should always aim for the mountaintop where your vision is sharp and your focus intact. Another thing about the eagle is that its very particular about its food.

Unlike a vulture that eats dead animals, an eagle feeds only on fresh prey and this has contributed to its healthy living. The same should be true of a child of God. As you seek a physically and spiritually healthy life, dwell more on eating the word of God, pray, fast and win souls.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 3 JULY 2022 PRAYER POINT

Father, please take me to the Rock that is higher. Let me soar on the mountain top.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 3 JULY 2022 HYMN

I’M PRESSING ON THE UPWARD WAY

1. I’m pressing on the upward way,

New heights I’m gaining every day;

Still praying as I onward bound,

“Lord, plant my feet on higher

ground”.

CHORUS

Lord, lift me up and let me stand,

By faith on heaven’s table-land;

Where love and joy and light abound,

Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

2. My heart has no desire to stay,

Where doubts arise and fears dismay;

Though some may dwell where

these abound,

My constant aim is higher ground.

3. Beyond the mist I fain would rise,

To rest beneath unclouded skies,

Above earth’s turmoil peace is found

By those who dwell on higher ground.

4. I long to scale the utmost height,

Though rough the way, and hard the fight,

My song while climbing shall resound

Lord lead me on to higher ground.

5. Lord lead me up the mountain side,

I dare not climb without my Guide;

And heaven gained, I’ll gaze around,

With grateful heart from higher ground.
