OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 11 JULY 2022 BIBLE READING ROMANS 6:11-18

11. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

12. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

13. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

14. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

15. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

16. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

17. But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

18. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 11 JULY 2022 MESSAGE

Today, many teenagers are addicted to all sorts of things such as drugs, music, alcohol, TV series, betting et cetera. Whatever you are addicted to determines where your time, resources and efforts in life will be channelled. Behind every addiction is a spirit.

This spirit controls the addicted such that other aspects of his/her life are affected. For example, a guy who is a addicted to gambling or betting would be compelled by demons to continue spending his allowance or earnings on the same, while other areas of his life that need funding, suffer.

Even when he realizes the consequences of his habit, he may not be able to stop because the demons will keep encouraging him to try his luck.

A girl who is addicted to a TV series will not perform as well as she could academically. Also, her chores will suffer and this will make her deficient in some areas of life. The time such a teenager should invest in studying and personal improvement would be wasted on pleasure and entertainment.

Are you addicted to food, clothes, porn, drugs, masturbation or premarital sex? Its time to break free and repent today.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 11 JULY 2022 PRAYER POINT

Father, please break every hold of addiction over my life, in Jesus name.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 11 JULY 2022 HYMN

NEARER, MY GOD

1. Nearer, my God, to Thee,

nearer to thee!

E’en though it be a cross

that raiseth me,

still all my song shall be,

nearer, my God,

2. Though like the wanderer,

the sun gone down,

darkness be over me,

my rest a stone;

yet in my dreams I’d be

nearer, my God, to Thee; (2ce)

nearer to Thee!

3. There let the way appear,

steps unto heaven;

all that Thou sendest me,

in mercy given;

angels to beckon me

nearer, my God, to Thee; (2ce)

nearer to Thee!

4. Then with my waking thoughts

bright with Thy praise,

out of my stony griefs

Bethel I’ll raise;

so by my woes to be

nearer, my God, to Thee; (2ce)

nearer to Thee!

5. Or if, on joyful wing

cleaving the sky,

sun, moon, and stars forgot,

upward I fly,

still all my song shall be,

nearer, my God, to Thee; (2ce)

nearer to Thee!
