DO YOU DESIRE TO BE HEALED– Tuesday January 9th2018
Memorise: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 1stPeter 2:24
Read: James 5:14-16 (KJV)
5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
It is unfortunate that many children of God are ignorant of the truth that healing is part of the package of redemption. Sing hymn 8
1. The Great physician now is near,
The sympathizing Jesus;
He speaks the drooping heart to
cheer,
Oh, hear the voice of Jesus!
Chorus:
Sweetest note in seraph song;
Sweetest name on mortal tongue;
Sweetest carol ever sung:
Jesus, blessed Jesus!
2. Your many sins are all forgiv’n,
Oh, hear the voice of Jesus;
The veil ‘twixt you and God is
riven,
Redemption wrought by Jesus.
3. All glory to the dying Lamb!
I now believe in Jesus;
I love the blessed Savior’s name,
I love the name of Jesus.
4. His name dispels my guilt and
fear,
No other name but Jesus;
Oh, how my soul delights to hear
The precious name of Jesus!
