It can be so easy to be defined by the mistakes we make—especially ones we make over and over again. We begin to believe that mistakes are who we are.
But they’re not.
We are so much more than our mistakes.
When we believe we are our mistakes, it gives us an excuse to keep doing them.
So what is it for you? What mistake do you think makes up a big part of you? Name it. Right now.
Here are two ways to let go of that mistake.
1. Ask God for forgiveness.
Just as easily as Jesus forgave that woman we just read about, He will forgive you.
2. Forgive yourself.
Let it go. Move on from it. Become someone better than that mistake because God has made you for more than that.
"Be Positive, and Don’t Judge"
Think for a moment about what kind of person you think you
are. Do you think people like being around you? Do you have a positive attitude
about a lot of things in life? Or, do you tend to be a negative person who
always thinks things are stupid and boring—and people are dumb. Do you secretly
suspect it’s hard for people to be around you because you’re always bringing
others down? Answer to yourself honestly.
People like to be around people who are positive and don’t
judge others.
God created us to enjoy life, not complain about it. To be
in relationship with people, not judge them.
Life will be so much more fun if you just embrace who God
has made you to be—someone who sees the good in this world and in others.
Gen 1:27
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

"In His Image"
We are created in the image of God. This is the foundation of your identity.
But what does it really mean to be made in the image of God?
It means you’re like God—not the same as God—but like Him. You resemble Him.
You can experience what God experiences emotionally: love, excitement, happiness, beauty, and the list goes on and on.
It also means you were meant to be in relationship with others because God is in perfect relationship as Father, Son, and Spirit.
Continue to discover Who God is, and that will help you see who He has made you to be.
Remember that being made in the image of God is the foundation and the standard for everything you are.
"Be Who God Made You to Be"
"Be Who God Made You to Be"
You were created by God to do great things with the life you've been given.
Don’t just let this life pass you by. Do something with it.
God has a purpose and plan for you. Discover it, do it, and become it.
What are you good at? What do you love to do? Maybe those are the things God wants you to step into.
When you do the things God has called you to, it will not only change your life but also the lives of those around you.
So, put your identity in Christ and know that He has great plans for you
