Topic: Getting set for the Battle [Friday 8 January,
2016]
“Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the
bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go
free, and that ye break every yoke?” - Isaiah 58:6
Life is a battle field and if you must be victorious in it, you must be ready to fight. More often than none, Christians appear to be too calm with the devil and that is why they get cheated out of life.
However, this battle is not in the physical, as the Bible says we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but mostly in the spiritual (Ephesians 6:12).
You must equip yourself spiritually to win at all times (2 Corinthians 10:4). No one plays casual confronting issues that bother them; you must fight with a victorious mentality. More so, this prayer and fasting season has given you another opportunity to fight against every force, situation or circumstance confronting your glorious destiny. Would you rather watch while doing nothing? Read the testimony of this brother whom God delivered from a wicked family contending force. He said:
“My life had been a life of struggles and difficulties. A man in my family vowed that we would not amount to anything in life. My sister died due to an inflicted disease and within two weeks, her children who were twins died at the same time. Four months later, my elder brother’s wife died after refusing a relationship with that same man.
Thank God for the 21- day prayer and fasting. The Bishop said we should observe our prayers during the day and at night. Every midnight, my wife and I would cry to God with all our hearts using the Word of God as a foundation for our prayers.
On the third day of the prayer and fasting, precisely at the Wednesday midweek service, after the Bishop led us in prayer, he said we would hear news. On getting home that night, I received a call that the strong man who had tormented my family was dead. I give glory to God.” — Philips Chukwu
You are the next to testify! As you engage in this 21-day praying and fasting with a warrior’s mentality, while you focus on the victories ahead, every strong man or woman challenging your life and family will give way for you in the name of Jesus Christ!
Remain Blessed!
